Sisterhood Speaks – October 2020

A Word from Sisterhood

Dina Dreizler, Sisterhood President

In my October 2019 bulletin article, I wrote about how much the women of TBE Sisterhood enjoy being together and the many things they do to contribute to the culture and depth of the community. This year is so different from our normal patterns. During our on-line interactions involving meetings, programs and services we get little, happy glimpses of each other. Just as most people miss the normal interactions with each other, the women of Sisterhood also miss each other and miss the services and events at TBE. We all look forward to a time when we can return to interacting in person together.

This month Sisterhood is hosting “Sisterhood in the Sukkah” on Sunday, October 4 @ 7:00 p.m. through Zoom. The subject of the program is “How to be a Perfect Stranger” and will be an interactive discussion concerning greetings and customs from around the world. We are grateful and thankful to Linda Belzer for planning and coordinating this event and know it will be interesting and fun for all who attend.

Currently, TBE Sisterhood is running its membership campaign. We thank Rose Kolas, VP of Membership, for all of her efforts in publicizing and organizing the membership drive. We do understand that our normal events are not currently occurring, but we continue to look for creative ways to interact and to carry on our traditions. We hope that you will continue with your tradition of joining as a member of the Sisterhood. We are very grateful to those of you who have already sent in your membership and are hopeful that others will continue to join and support Sisterhood. If you need any information about joining Sisterhood, please feel free to reach out to Rose Kolas, myself, or any member of the Sisterhood Board.
