Sisterhood Speaks – May 2019
Remember Sisterhood is in Action with You
Reva Skoll, Sisterhood Co-President
With our wonderful Sisterhood, in the month of April we had a fun-filled evening at the Comedy and Magic Club with about 30 folks, thanks to the hard work of Dina Dreizler and Allison Brandt. And to top it off, the Community Passover Seder chaired by Jodi Davidson with the assistance of seven other ladies and led by both Rabbi Kohn and Cantor Davidson. How do we thank you? We thank you by asking you to please continue your membership and assistance in Sisterhood when the new fiscal year comes along.
Currently, we are putting our new Sisterhood Board together and yes, we will have a new president and a new secretary, but until the entire slate of officers is finalized, I’m going to keep you guessing. Just think, you could be on the board. You only need one monthly meeting in the evening and perhaps a few hours during the course of the month. We all have busy schedules, but without you, Sisterhood has nowhere to go. Remember, much of the work we do helps to support the Temple. At this last meeting, the Sisterhood Board agreed to finalize our commitment of $7,500 to the temple, as well as an amount to help subsidize the salary of our custodial staff.ith our wonderful Sisterhood, in the month of April we had a fun- filled evening at the Comedy and Magic Club with about 30 folks, thanks to the hard work of Dina Dreizler and Allison Brandt. And, just aside, don’t forget on May 9 from 6:00–9:00 p.m. we will celebrate Yom HaAtzma’ut with other local congregations at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center. Purchase your tickets from the TBE Office.
