A Word from Sisterhood
Dina Dreizler, Sisterhood President
This month we are excited to be holding the Circle of Service luncheon. This is a yearly luncheon that raises money directly for the YES Fund run by the WRJ. The YES Fund awards scholarships to rabbinical and cantorial students. The cost to attend the luncheon is paid directly to the WRJ and the luncheon itself is donated by members of the Sisterhood. This year, we have a special treat, our own Rabbi Cassi Kail will be our guest speaker at the luncheon and will tell us a bit about her story on becoming a rabbi. We hope that you will join us for the luncheon to be held at the home of Linda and Marvin Belzer. Watch for the flyer that will be delivered by email.
In addition, we are looking forward to a program on March 15 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. wherein our speaker will be Hadas Nuriel. Hadas is a teacher in our Torah School. During this program, Krav Maga with Hadas Nuriel, she will describe her experience in the Israeli army and she will discuss and demonstrate Krav Maga techniques. We encourage all ages to attend this informative and unique program.
Finally, as mentioned last month, we are in the process of nominating a slate of Officers for the year of 2020–2021. We welcome new ideas and members and ask that you contact anyone currently on the Board to let us know if you would like to serve on the Board next year. We look forward to hearing your ideas and working together with you.
