Sisterhood Speaks – April 2019
My, How Time Flies
Reva Skoll, Sisterhood Co-President
Where have all the activities of Sisterhood gone? This is what Sisterhood did in March. Had our annual Circle 0f Service Luncheon at Sandy Pickar’s beautiful home raising over $700 for the YES Fund (Youth, Education & Service) of Women of Reform Judaism; sold many dozen of our delicious Hamentaschen; had a wonderful Art Program with scholar-in-residence, our own Robin Sarner; and the Sisterhood Cruise has been completed.
But what does this new month of April (Adar II and Nisan) bring us? By the time you read this, the wonderful event at the Comedy Club should have been enjoyed by many on April 3 and we are looking forward to Passover. Please remember to do your Passover shopping in our GIFT SHOP. Sisterhood has many beautiful Seder Plates, Kiddush Cups, etc. Then, on Wednesday, April 24 at 5:45 p.m. we will celebrate our Community Seder led by both Rabbi Kohn and Cantor Davidson. Jodi Davidson and her committee is working extremely hard to put this together. Reservations, with payment must be in by April 17. Cost is $40 adult, $20 for children under 18 and those under four are free. Mail your reservation made out to TBE Sisterhood to the Temple in care of Jodi Davidson. If you would like to help with the Community Seder, please contact Jodi.
We’d love to have you at our next Sisterhood board meeting on Tuesday, April 2 at 7:00 p.m.. and, on Sunday, May 5 we will have the last of the Create, Hydrate & Fill Your Plate program.
