Sisterhood Caring Community Forming Now

Sisterhood’s Caring Community Needs Volunteers

Sisterhood is in the process of forming a Caring Community. This community will include volunteers of all ages and genders who are Temple Beth El members. We anticipate that the Caring Community would include the shiva committee (already active), a meal train committee, and a transportation committee.

The transportation provided by volunteers would initially be limited to transporting individuals to and from medical facilities that do not permit the patient to take commercial transportation, like taxis, Uber, or Lyft after certain procedures. In addition, the Caring Community could provide volunteers to visit people who are homebound or hospitalized when TBE is notified that our member would welcome visitors.

When we have the structure in place and have sufficient volunteers, we will activate these programs. We are also considering publishing a directory listing of TBE members with various skills and services to offer.
