Rabbi Cassi Kail’s Erev Rosh HaShanah Sermon Spotlighted by the URJ
Our new Rabbi Cassi Kail gave a series of moving and inspirational sermons over this year’s High Holiday Services at Temple Beth El. On Erev Rosh HaShanah she spoke of our community, its nearly century-long history, of the many multi-generational families that have been a part of this synagogue, of her impressions of its people and how she felt joining with this congregation and moving with her family across the country to become a part of our family. You can find her sermon, “Let Us Proclaim the Sacred Power of Our Days,” here. Mark J. Pelavin of the Union for Reform Judaism has prepared an annual Rosh HaShanah sermon roundup for the past six years. This year, Rabbi Cassi’s Erev Rosh HaShanah sermon is among those that were chosen. See Mark’s blog post and you will find our Rabbi’s sermon just after the middle of the page. We congratulate Rabbi Cassi for this recognition and we appreciate already her hard work, diligence, intelligence, and passion for our community.
