Torah Study
Thursdays at Noon
Join us to explore the weekly Torah portion.  No experience is necessary. If you have your own English Torah commentary, please bring it with you.

HUGE thank you to all those who donated items for the
American Soldier care packages! The assembly of the care packages was hosted by St. Lawrence Martyr Church in Redondo Beach on Saturday, February 24th, and was organized by Susie Zimmerman at St. Francis Episcopal Church’s Military Outreach program. They have been assembling care packages for over 10 years, and invited TBE to join their efforts. We were able to pack 68 boxes! In addition to snacks and toiletries, each box contained books and magazines, girl scout cookies and personalized letters and artwork. These boxes touch the hearts of our soldiers and let them know just how grateful we are for their service and personal sacrifice. If you would like to participate in the future with the LA Air Force Base’s programs for soldiers and their families, stay tuned for more information. Contact Allison Brandt with questions.

Single Women’s Havurah
Deborah’s Daughters Havurah

invites single, TBE women to join!

If you are interested or would like to learn more about the havurah, please email Joan Friedman, Havurot Chair.
The word “havurah” comes from the Hebrew word “haver,” meaning friend. Its primary purpose is to promote Jewish fellowship. Each havurah is a small community of congregants who gather together to socialize, learn more about Jewish subjects, celebrate Jewish holidays, or may take any focus that the group chooses.
