MENsch Club – December 2021
MENsch Club
Jaime Lowenstein, MENsch Club Chair
The MENsch Club ended its 2021 programming with a wonderful Hanukkah party in partnership with Sisterhood. Aloha Latkes was a great Hanukkah party! The latkes made by Cantor Ilan and friends were deliciously sweet and spicy. The cocktails created by Andy Kauffman and Bunky Victor were fun with just the right amount of Hawaiian pineapple juice. Music by the Maikai Gents of Napa Valley added a bit of mahalo to a year of fun and exciting programs.
The MENsch Club looks forward to being part of TBE’s centennial programming in 2022 and is honored to continue to present a set of traveling candlesticks to our B’nai Mitzvah recipients.
Also in 2022, our MENsch Club will be joining with the URJ’s Men of Reform Judaism (MRJ). We look forward to sharing in the MRJ’s programming and bringing this to our community.
Dependent on the guidelines from our re-opening task force, planning will soon begin for a Superbowl Party in February. Each quarter of the coming year will see a MENsch Club event. We will also be organizing a golf affinity group.
In addition, the MENsch Club is beginning to plan career mentoring programs with students involved with Hillel at Cal State Long Beach and with the Boys and Girls Clubs. More information will be available on this.
As Temple Beth El celebrates its 100th anniversary, we invite you to become a MENsch Club member with your commitment of $36. Your membership will enable the MENsch Club to further its support of TBE. We look forward to your joining us at our upcoming programs and as a proud MENsch Club member!
